Astoria Multiculture Meetup Group is a group of friends from different nationalities and diverse ethnic background. We meet usually once a week at a local restaurant. (We speak basically English.) We decided to start this group to give young children of all backgrounds the chance to learn Hindi, Urdu, Bengali and other South Asian Languages including Punjabi and Gujarati, while also reinforcing English language skills.   Our multi-lingual program is geared towards reading and learning.
